A list of things you didn't know you needed for your trip to Venice

I will tell you how to manage a trip to Venice if you have limited mobility and where the emergency clinic is. There is information on how to send your bags ahead so you don’t have to lug them on the train and to your hotel and about the food delivery service that will bring Japanese curry rice and chocolate and natural wine to you.

DO NOT loose your US passport in Venice. There is no emergency passport service here. You will have to go to Rome, Milan, Florence or Naples. For non-passport emergencies call the 24 hour emergency hotline: 02-290-351. There is a consular office at Marco Polo airport. This is my regular reminder to check your passport expiration date. Americans should register with the State Department STEP program before their trip. Information for UK nationals (check your passport dates!) and Australians.
