Thanks this is amazing!! Going with my 10 and 14 year olds in Feb. We are definitely going to try rowing and glass blowing. Anyone have any tips for carnival? I have been checking the official website but it looks like the events haven’t been announced yet.
Thanks so much for subscribing! There is a stage set up in Piazza San Marco with performances & in a few other main campos. The ice skating rink in San Polo usually stays open and there is a small Luna Park down at my end of town (via Garibaldi/Giardini) until the end of March.
You're amazing-- such great ideas. Saw a lot of families in Rome this summer that could have used a similar list on their visits to the capital. I feel for those parents looking across at a bored teenager staring at their phone while they tour the Vatican museum.
I visit Venice with my two teens (boys) last year. They play soccer themselves and I took them to a match of the Venice team. We had an amazing evening. The stadium is wonderful and one of the few places with most locals.
The sunken crypt and the labyrinth have gone to the top of my personal musts on my next visit! There is so much wonderful to explore and experience - thank you for sharing this amazing list.
Wow this arrived in my email ! Super fun I sent this to my daughter if she ever goes back to Italy my two grandsons will be teenages soon and these experiences are once in a lifetime excellent Gillian. Thankyou. Great reading.

Thank you ☺️ I do have a draft for Rome buried deep in a folder somewhere. I will have to dust it off!

The sunken crypt is one of my most favorite things! I go in almost every time I walk through that campo.
I just met the bar manager for the cafe next to the labyrinth. I’ll meet you for cocktails!
Thanks for the mention! 💛 Bookmarking for many years from now when my toddler is a teen!
