Gillian Knows Best Guide to Non-Venetian food in Venice
8+ addresses for when you are tired of sarde e saor and baccala mantecata.
I love Italian food.
What I really mean is that I love Roman food. Amatriciana, cicoria ripassata, pizza mortadella. Those are my favorite things. I am learning to love Venetian food. I am fond of the bold Spaghetti alla busara and I won’t say no to a sharp bite of sarde e saor, but like in Rome, where I was just as likely to be eating Szechuan hot pot, Jia Mo, Aloo Palak, or Tonkotsu ramen, I have been trying out some of the Non-Venetian food available here in Venice. Have you hit your limit of baccala mantecata? It happens. I’ve got you.
