I love Palermo but am frustrated that you basically have to leave town to find a place to swim in the ocean. Had a great afternoon on a hot day at a lido (Aqua Blu?) along the SE coastline south of Siracusa, at San Lorenzo. Also want to try the Vendicari Reserve for a free beach. But, I am like you--I usually like a sunbed, or at least a good chair, plus an umbrella! Next time in Venice, we are definitely going to try going to Lido for a beach day. If we do, I will reach out--I would love to meet you!
I have only been to Palermo in the winter so I don't have any good beach intel :) I like the Lido. Is it the most beautiful beach in Italy, not at all, but it is such a nice break from the narrow hot calle in Venice. It feels like another planet! I am looking forward to meeting you on the Grandviale or at Pachuka soon.
