I love the obelisks in Rome. My husband is fascinated with the one that used to be part of the sundial. We got our Egyptian fix when we went to Torino in November 2021. The Egyptian Museum is great. Thanks for this article.
Love this! I'm fascinated by Rome's Egyptian obelisks. When I visited Karnak Temple in Luxor a few years ago, my guide told me that was where the obelisk in Piazza del Popolo came from. I actually saw the empty pedestal where it once stood across from its twin.
If you're into ancient history, you should go to Egypt to visit the incredible temples and tombs. It really puts Rome's history into perspective. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip!
I love this so much!
Thank you!!
Great article!
Thank you! 🥰
I still marvel at being able to go obelisk hopping any ol' day here. I don't think I'll ever get used to it! Loved this list!
Me too!!! 💙🥰
