I was just talking to some friends who say they always stay on the Lido when they're visiting Venice. And I, I'm embarrassed to say, never went there even though I've been to Venice countless times. And even though I'm a fan of Death in Venice. Why I can't really explain. When we were in Rome, I was on Team Sabaudia, a bit further than the others you mention but still reachable for a day trip. And so beautiful.

Sabaudia is fantastic, but hard to reach without a car & my husband really doesn’t like the Pontina. That’s how we started going to Anzio.
Give Lido a try next time!
Had no idea that there are actually sand dunes near Venice. That's crazy. And I share your feelings about bikes!
It really is amazing. I am so glad to hear you are on my side about the bikes. ☺️
And now I know that bikes are your least favorite things...noted!
😂
sun + sea + vongole sounds so dreamy right now...
🏖️☀️
Great article. Thanks!
🥰
It blows my mind that Venice is Venice AND it has beaches.
Me too! It's like a vacation every time I go there.
