I love pizza. When I am in the US I love a greasy slice of pepperoni eaten on the boardwalk or at my hometown favorite. In Rome I love a quick snack of pizza bianca stuffed with mortadella, I love thin crusted Roman pizza, and I will travel on trains and boats for soft crusted Neapolitan pizza. I have even found some good pizza in Venice!
In Rome there are two kinds of pizza. Pizza al taglio that is bought by the slice and eaten on the go and the classic round pizza baked in a wood-fired oven and eaten in a restaurant. Sounds simple right? There are a few things you need to know so I made you a guide to pizza in Rome.
